REQUIREMENTS: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Human Services or other field with experience working with service population.  Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in residential settings serving at risk youth.Must have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.  Must have knowledge of group care, mental health services, and related services.  Thorough knowledge of principles of human service, and general management experience. -Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to the training and treatment of developmentally and/or physically challenged individuals.

-Makes a personal visit at least monthly to individual’s assigned to Family Based Homes.

-Implements the Agency Supervision Plan as written.

-Coordinates the efforts and communications of  case manager’s assigned to each individual to insure appropriate outcomes and interventions.

-Provide and document all pre-service and in-service training for all service providers.

-Insures compliance with all reporting requirements

-Assists in developing program budgets and determining if adjustments can be made to maintain company goals and objectives.

-Insures that all records of all assigned programmatic and financial activities including daily logs, MARs, expense summaries, progress notes, monthly reports, or other reports or information requested by the Regional Director are maintained and submitted in a timely manner.

-Performs related duties as required.

Methodist Home for Children seeks Professional Couple to serve as Therapeutic Foster Parents.  House in Manteo provided, as well as a monthly stipend to provide continuous service to youth placed in the home.   Daily compensation is provided when youth are placed in the house in order to provide for the youth.  Parents needed for 2 teenage youth, to offer caring, nurturing environment while teaching life skills.  Couple needs to be flexible, be able to handle emergency situations and be open to providing transportation.   Couple will need to complete 60 hours of MHC pre-service training, background checks, and fingerprint clearance before youth are placed in home.  One year commitment needed.
