How to Get Involved
It’s easy to become a child advocate. Thousands of children in North Carolina need the support of individuals like you. Together we can ensure that no children are forgotten.

How to become a child advocate:
Become more informed about the issues affecting children.

Be the best parent you can possibly be.
Communicate with your child. Be emotionally available and interact with them as much as possible. A safe and loving family is of tremendous value to a child.

Let your voice be heard.
Call or write your state and local officials and address issues dealing with children. You can help ensure that policy-makers adopt, implement, and maintain important policies and programs that support children and families.

Get involved in the life of a child.
Consider becoming a mentor. Many children do not have role models or adults who take an interest in their lives.

Support the agencies serving children and families.

Make a financial contribution.
Most CFSA-NC members depend on contributions from individuals to fund their programs and services.

Help to generate awareness.
Arrange for a CFSA member agency to speak at your place of worship, employment, civic group or parent/teacher
organization.
