Benefits of Membership

To support its members, CFSA-NC provides:

  • Exposure on our website:  www.cfsa-nc.org.  Our Directory of Member Agencies allows members to provide general information about their agency, as well as information about specific services.  Search capabilities allow consumers to search by agency name, service type or county.

  • Discount in accreditation fees from the Council on Accreditation (COA).

  • Partnership with Essential Learning to provide web-based courses and learning management system at significant discounts. 

  • Acknowledged as a member organization who adheres to the highest standards of integrity and ethical practice

Membership Tiers

We have three membership tiers:

 Full Membership: Non-profit or for profit agency that provides child welfare, behavioral health, juvenile justice, or their related services via community based programs and/or out of home care. Full membership agencies shall be accredited by one of the following national accrediting bodies (JCAHO, COA, EAGLE, CARF or a nationally accepted accreditation body approved by the CFSA-NC Board of Trustees).  Click here for application
 Provisional Membership: Agency that provides the services of a full member agency but is not accredited. Provisional Members must become accredited within 24 months of provisional membership. Agencies applying for Provisional Membership must have applied with an approved accrediting body, paid the fee, and submit proof of payment with their CFSA-NC membership application.  An agency that has begun the accreditation process and has made significant progress before 24-month timeframe will be considered for an extension of time by the Executive Committee.  Affiliate Membership: Foundations, corporations, or associations that have an interest in services to children and families and are supportive of the mission/vision of CFSA-NC.  Annual Membership Dues for Affiliate Members is $250.00  Click here for application.
